Day 157…

Sunday 4th February 2018

This morning I woke up of my own accord which was lovely. Although I woke up thinking it was like midday/early afternoon, when I checked the time it was only half ten. With this fact I was quite happy as it meant I could finally end my craving for a wetherspoons breakfast. So I text Dad to see if he was awake, explaining my idea; he hopped in the shower, we had a cuppa each and we headed to wetherspoons.

Now ladies and gents, I have not had a spoons breakfast in England; only in Scotland so this was a first. Dad and I wondered in finding ourselves a table, decided what we were having to then notice we were next to Sparky (aka Mark) and his friend. So up I went to the bar to place our order: One Traditional Breakfast with Orange Juice and One Breakfast Wrap with Orange Juice please. Haha whoops typed please because in my head I was repeating how I said it to the guy taking my order.

Dad and I sat chatting about a lot of things, life, people, realtionships, kids, work, music etc. then our breakfasts arrived.

Of course our conversation continued throughout our meals. My oh my was I stuffed. For those that don’t know the Breakfast Wrap contains: Sausage, Bacon, Cheese, Egg and a Hash Brown. It was delicious. Meals finished, we sat chatting allowing our food to settle before heading home via the shop for milk and biscuits. We got home and thawed out with a cuppa (and some biscuits of course) while listening to music.

I played Dad some of Ren’s stuff on YouTube and Spotify, so he sat with headphones in as he wanted me to listen to a new band he discovered. So there we were both listening to different music, him listening to Ren Stedman while I listened to a blues band called Catfish. Before we knew it, it was time to head back into Rochester highstreet. This time going to Deaf Cat to meet Scary and Mr Swan.

I had a lovely time catching up and having a laugh with three of my favourite men. I even took my own biscuits into Deaf Cat (Sshh) – not sure that’s allowed but what’s a cuppa without a biscuit to dunk!?

A little while in, Graham and a sleeping Evie arrived to join us. All chatting away about life, work, mutual friends, babies and their exploding nappies – making Scary and Mr Swan feel rather nauseous😂.

Unfortunately time passed too quickly. Dad had to leave to start his shift at the frog. Shortly after Scary and Mr Swan headed home, leaving Evie, Graham and I chatting away. We didn’t stay overly long as I needed to be home for dinner and Graham needed to go and collect his car from the garage.

On route back to Dads I bumped into Tony and his friend. Stood in the f-f-f-freezing cole chatting for ages, to then be joined by Lewis and Lisa! What a small world, we all know each other separately from various places. We then realised after standing there yaking for ages, that we were all heading in the same direction! So we walked and talked until it was time for us to go our seperate ways.

I get to Dads, grab my stuff and rung a taxi. It being freezing outside I decided I’d wait in the Mano, only to receive a text informing me my taxi was outside as soon as I sat down! Typical, ay?

Whilst packing my stuff I realised I was due to run out of tablets, so I contacted Emma to see if she could cover my shift tomorrow (which is her normal shift). Emma said she didn’t mind as it’s extra money. I contacted Freddie to explain the dilemma, all sorted and covered for tomorrow.

I arrive home to a very happy (to see me) Jasper, and Mum and Eddie sat on the sofa. Eddie is still poorly, god love him. I chilled for a little while and had a catch up with Mum and Eddie. After a little while I loaded my laptop and put three CDs on to my laptop. Two Gaz Brookfield CDs and one Rastko CD.

I also decided to do some more of my course, I done this until dinner was ready. At the moment I am learning about handshapes meaning I had to draw hands; which I am shit at drawing! So I resulted to tracing them off my laptop screen, going over them in felt tip/making the lines thicker; then opening up my calender to use as a light box. Placing my white screen under the drawing and under the page in my notebook and drawing over the lines. It’s hard to explain so I hope you can all fathom what I mean!

I didn’t manage to get a photo of it before Joseph ‘coloured’ it in with Nana on Monday (tomorrow if you are reading todays).

Just as we were plating up dinner, Sue and Shannon arrived. They said they would pop in for a bit earlier in the day. All sat chatting about licences for the selling of alcohol, work, Shannons new job and general life.

After a while Eddie went to bed as he was feeling rough as. I done some more of my course whilst chatting. Shannon headed home and Adam went to bed, leaving a sleepy SueSue, Mum and I to it.

Later on SueSue headed home. I saved photos from phone on to laptop while Mum caught up on some TV. We shared a slice of chocolate fudge cake, while I wrote some of my blogs. I then headed to bed, leaving Mum in peace to watch TV.

I lay in bed adding to my blogs until I was tired enough to drift off.

Until tomorrow cake lovers.
